STOCKHOLM June 2, 2020 – The Techarena Challenge 2020 has named CabinAir one of the 50 leading companies of the future in the Nordic region. Stockholm-based CabinAir makes advanced air purification solutions for automobiles.

The event aims to promote innovation and entrepreneurship and to give company builders the opportunity to show off on a national stage. “We are very pleased to receive this honor,” says CabinAir CEO Daniel Hagström. “Healthy air for drivers and passenger is an important new frontier in wellness. Air pollution is the number one killer worldwide, and the air inside cars is often many times worse than the air outside.”

The seven-year-old competition is aimed at companies that are based on a unique innovation or business idea with the potential to be commercialized globally. Some 450 companies entered the competition. The selection means that CabinAir is eligible to compete for the Audience Award, Social Impact Award, Business Industry prize and more during the Techarena Summit in Stockholm on November 13.

The entrants have been evaluated by an expert jury, with a focus on scalability and sustainability with well-defined growth opportunities.

"This year's final field is one of the strongest so far in terms of both breadth and quality. It is clear that Sweden and the Nordic region are a breeding ground for exceptional entrepreneurs and companies. Many of the companies have already gained a foothold internationally and created a strong position for further expansion," says Omid Ekhlasi, founder and competition manager for the Techarena Challenge.
