We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to be part of our journey when we expand our businesses.

What you'll do

As Mechanical Engineer, you will play an integral role in our mission to provide better air cleaning solutions for drivers and passengers in vehicles on the road. This includes taking responsibility for project deliveries and reporting to both internal and external stakeholders. You will work with a broad perspective from high-level prerequisites and concept development in the early phases to the later project phases managing planning, development, and delivery of your work.

Overall responsibilities

  • Plan, organize and lead mechanical activities in system development projects
  • Mechanical and system assembly requirements analysis
  • Modelling (3D) of mechanical systems, modules, and items
  • Detailing (2D) of items
  • Mechanical and system assembly verification and validation
  • Evaluation of filters and filter media
  • Early supplier qualification, audit, and support buyers to do vendor selection

Who you are

As a person, you are strongly goal-oriented and have a curious attitude to new things. We are looking for someone with a can-do attitude, a great eye for quality, and a sense of humor. You are structured in your way of work and not discouraged by ambiguity and uncertainties. A mechanical engineer of CabinAir is a vital member of the development team and a key to our mission to make the air cleaner and healthier for people on the road. It is important that you have good collaborative skills and take initiative to solve tasks. The position requires that you are thorough and structured and that you can express yourself in English, both orally and in writing.

We believe that you have a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience, and minimum 3 years of experience working with mechanical system design. Preferably you come from working with automotive products or other regulated industries of high standards, such as the telecom industry.

You will report to our Design and Development Manager & Chief Designer, with daily interactions with the development and product management team in Sweden and China, and regular interaction with clients’ technical representatives as well as with CabinAir Operations, project office and Sales & Marketing team.

Our technology is already on the road in Volvo Cars, some of the world’s most highly regarded vehicles in terms of driver and passenger health and safety, as an integral part of Volvo Cars’ Advanced Air Cleaner (AAC) system. Recently Polestar announced AAC for Polestar 3 and we recently signed other contracts with premium vehicle manufacturers from Europe. U.S and China. In parallel, we are launching our technology for cars already on the road.
