What are the benefits of the Nordzone™ System?

The Nordzone system keeps the air inside your car healthy even in dense traffic.

By installing the Nordzone™ System into your climate system of your car, you enhance the air cleaning performance dramatically, making sure you and your passengers are breathing clean and fresh air, throughout the ride.

How does it work?

The technology behind Nordzone™ System is based on the same air cleaning technology Blueair has used to clean the air in millions of homes, offices and public spaces around the world for more than 25 years. The same technology has been reinvented by CabinAir for the automotive industry.

The Nordzone™ System uses a unique combination of active particle charging technology and mechanical filtration, which is superior to traditional solutions, trapping also the smallest and most harmful airborne pollutants such as virus and bacteria’s, exhaust smoke and ultrafine dust before the air even enters the cabin. The optimized filter also deactivates viruses and bacteria trapped in the filter and adsorb unpleasant gases or odors.

Why the Nordzone™ System and not just a traditional cabin air filter?

Traditional cabin air filters fully rely on passive filtration technologies, simply filtering out the pollutants based on the coarseness of the filter. This allows the smallest and most harmful particles, to pass true the filtering system and into your cabin.

While traditional filter performance on larger particles (larger than PM2.5) is comparable with the performance of Nordzone™ System, they let more than 40% of the ultrafine and most harmful particles through.

Why the Nordzone™ System and not a traditional in-car air purifier?

The Nordzone™ System is integrated into the vehicle’s climate system, cleaning the air before it enters the cabin. The Nordzone™ System uses the climate system’s fan while an in-car air purifier is equipped with its own small fan which is far from as powerful as the fan inside the climate system. This contributes to making Nordzone™ System’s air cleaning performance superior to in-cabin air purifiers.

What makes Nordzone™ System more premium than other in-car purification solutions?

Due to the unique two-step technology, Nordzone™ System’s air purification performance is superior to traditional cabin air filters or stand-alone in-car air purifiers, especially filtration of the smallest and most harmful particles.

Do I have to change the full Nordzone™ System when I’m reminded of filter replacement?

No, once you have installed your Nordzone™ System you only need to change Nordzone™ System filter within the same service interval as traditional air filters.

How often do I need to change filter after upgrading my car with Nordzone™ System?

Blocked filters lead to reduced cleaning performance and less odor adsorption. For optimal performance we recommend you change your Nordzone™ System filter at least once per year.

For commercial vehicles operating in dense traffic, more frequent change is recommended.

Can I replace the filter of my Nordzone™ System with any cabin air filter?

No, you need to use Nordzone™ System replacement filters.

How do I install the Nordzone System?

Nordzone system replaces your traditional cabin air filter, located in the climate system’s filter compartment. To connect the Nordzone™ System to the fuse box, you need to drill a small hole in the filter compartment lid to allow the power cable through For detailed instructions, please see user guide or watch the installation video.

If installed by a service center, please contact them for trouble shooting and service.

If you installed the product on your own, please make sure that the product is properly installed according to the manual. If the problem still exist, please contact us with a thorough problem description and if possible include images how you installed it.

I have lost my user guide, what do I do?

Is Nordzone™ System energy efficient?

CabinAir technology combines active particle charging with mechanical filtration. Due to this combination, CabinAir solutions can use less dense filters, which keeps the energy consumption down.

Will my Nordzone™ System continue to run after my car engine is switched off?

No, the Nordzone™ System will switch off with the car engine.

Does Nordzone™ System emit ozone?

Though the Nordzone™ System uses particle charging to capture and remove airborne harmful particles, Nordzone™ air purification products should not be associated with dangerous indoor ozone.

Dangerous indoor ozone can be formed by air cleaning techniques based solely on ionization technology, or by systems using ozone to clean the air. We understand the serious concern involving the negative effects of ozone. CabinAir takes this matter seriously and ensures that our technology is safe and do not add ozone to the cabin.

Where can I find the Serial Number and/or the MAC Address of my Nordzone™ System?

What are the benefits of the Nordzone™ Air quality monitor?

The Nordzone™ Air quality monitor visualizes the levels of particles and gases inside the cabin. It also alerts you in case of temporarily increased levels of PM, VOC and CO₂ which could temporarily occur in extreme traffic situations like heavy traffic jam, tunnel driving or overuse of recirculation mode.

The design is discrete, and the at-a-glance interface is easy to understand, meaning you can focus on the driving.

What can the air quality monitor measure?

The Nordzone™ Air quality monitor is designed for pollution measurement for real-life driving situations. The monitor measures particle matters, VOC’s and CO₂, – pollutants that strongly can impact health and wellbeing for drivers and passengers.

How are the sensor readings displayed?

It continuously measures air quality inside the cabin, displaying the result on the two light scales, one for PM levels (6 LEDs) and one for dominant value for VOC’s and CO₂ (3 LEDs).

The discreet interface on the device gives you an at-a-glance indication of the air quality inside your car, without taking focus from your driving. For detailed measurements, download the Nordzone™ app.

For a more sustainable future for ourselves and future generations to come, the Nordzone™ Air quality monitor is made by PCR (post-consumer recycled) material. Simply put, recycled plastic is less wasteful than new plastic. This might impact the nuances of the LED lights (pure white can look slightly light blue for example).

Does the air quality monitor work without connecting it to the Nordzone™ app?

Yes, but you will have a much richer experience if you use the app.

On its own, the monitor will indicate the quality of your in-cabin air by it’s at-a-glance interface, but when paired to the Nordzone™ app you can compare real-time in-cabin air quality data with outdoors. The app also gives recommendations for how air quality can be further improved and will remind you when it is time to change your Nordzone™ System filter or your Nordzone™ Cabin car air filter.

Where in the car should I place it?

The Nordzone™ Air quality monitor should be placed inside the cabin where the driver can see the interface clearly without being distracted from driving.

Mount the air quality monitor in an at-a-glance position close to the USB-power connection.

The Nordzone™ Air quality monitor is recommended to be fixated with the double-sided tape that comes with the product. The air quality monitor also has a magnetic bottom plate (magnetic holder not included) and bottom surface with high friction rubber.

What can I do to maximize the accuracy?

Make sure the device is placed with free space around it

Do not cover the monitor with any fabric or other material

I'm having trouble getting my Nordzone™ Air quality to work, how can I get assistance?

Please make sure that the product is properly installed according to the user guide. If the problem still exists, please contact your dealer.

If asked to reconnect to your Air Quality monitor, press and hold inside the “PIN code field” and then choose “Paste” option. (Your required PIN code is saved in “Copy” mode). The 0000 or 1234 does not work (standard message from your phone’s system).

What can I use the Nordzone™ app for?

Connect with the Nordzone™ Air quality monitor to display real-time levels of PM2.5, CO2 and VOCs inside the cabin, along with outdoor air quality index. It also gives recommendations for how air quality can be further improved and will remind you when it is time to change the filter on your Nordzone™ System and when to replace your Nordzone™ Cabin air filter.

The app will give you tips and tricks how to quicker get back to healthy in-cabin air. (NOTE! Do not use your mobile phone while driving).

Regular filter replacement is necessary to optimize the cleaning performance of your Nordzone™ air quality solutions. The Nordzone™ app will remind you when it’s time to replace the filter.

Which device is the app compatible with?

The Nordzone™ app is compatible with iPhones running iOS 10 or later versions and Android 5.0 or later versions.

What are the benefits with Blueair Cabin P1?

Blueair Cabin car air purifier is a stand-alone car air purifier for cars, trucks and RVs. It is the simplest way to make sure everyone in the vehicle is breathing clean air. How does it work?

Blueair Cabin is a compact, mobile version of Blueair’s HEPASilent™ technology. Pioneered by Blueair, it combines electrostatic and mechanical filtration to deliver low noise, 360° air flow and high CADR. It provides more than 95% filtration efficiency against PM2.5, pollen, dust and industrial emissions and has been tested to meet or exceed global standards, such as GB, CARB, CB and AHAM.

        • Check that the control plug is connected to the 12V outlet.
        • Check that you have turned on the car’s ignition.
        • Check that the top cover is mounted correctly.
        • Turn on your P1 by pressing the control plug.

How often should I run my air purifier?

Our recommendation is that you always have your Blueair Cabin P1 air purifier active while being inside of the cabin.

How do I place the filters in my Blueair Cabin P1 air purifier?

You place the filter with the printed side up according to the instructions in the user guide.

How often should I change filter?

Factors such as the level of pollution in the air and the amount of time that your Blueair Cabin P1 is active impacts filter lifespan. The control plug will indicate when it is time for you to exchange your filter. The average filter lifespan is 6 months.

My Blueair Cabin P1 air purifier is on full speed all the time – what to do?

The fan speed can be changed according to the user guide.

How do I know that my Blueair Cabin P1 is working?

When the unit is connected via the control plug in the 12V output, the filter is in position and the top cover is secured, a blue LED lights up on the control plug and on the unit, indicating that the unit is working.

The control plug is blinking red, what do I do?

If 6 red LEDs are shown, this is a filter change indication. It is time to change the filter, read more about what to do in the user guide.

If 3 red LEDs are blinking, this is a notification or error, read more about what to do in the user guide.

Can I open my windows when using an air purifier?

Air purifiers are more efficient in closed spaces. When you open the window, you will let more polluted air into the cabin.

What do I do with the cabling for my Blueair Cabin P1 unit?

Will my Blueair Cabin P1 air purifier continue to run after my car engine is switched off?

No, the purifier will switch off with the car engine since the product uses the 12V outlet.

How do I change the filter?

Use both your hands and press the two release buttons on the sides of the unit. The top will come loose, and you can easily lift and replace the filter. Check your user guide for more details.

Warranty

CabinAir Sweden AB warrants that your CabinAir product will be free from defects in material or workmanship for one (1) year from the date of purchase provided that you have replaced the filters with original replacement filters according to the recommended filter replacement schedule.

Within the first 30 days of purchase CabinAir will replace a defective unit at no charge to you and reimburse any shipping charges.

After 30 days, CabinAir’s obligation and liability under this Limited Warranty is limited to repairing or replacing (at its sole discretion) a defective unit and paying the freight cost of returning the unit to you.

The Limited Warranty covers normal use only and does not cover replacement filters.

Obtaining Warranty Service

In the event of a malfunction or failure of your CabinAir product, please contact your local dealer or CabinAir directly for further assistance.

Your Limited Warranty remains in effect only if your CabinAir product:

Is operated in accordance with the instructions provided.

Has had its filter changed with original replacement filters and according to the recommended filter replacement schedule.

There is no evidence of tampering, mishandling, neglect, accidental damage, modification, and/or repair done to the CabinAir product by anyone other than authorized service personnel.

Limitation or Liability and Remedies

This Limited Warranty is provided by CabinAir Sweden AB.

CabinAir disclaims any express warranty not provided herein and any implied warranty, guarantee or representations as to the suitability for any particular purpose, performance, quality and absence of hidden defects, and any remedy for breach of contract, which but for this provision, might arise by implication, operation of law, custom of trade or course of dealing, including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. except as provided in this agreement, CabinAir further disclaims any responsibility for losses, expenses, inconveniences, special, indirect, secondary or consequential damages arising from ownership or use of the products.
