And when a company is focused on creating ground-breaking solutions that improve health and wellbeing, it’s no surprise that it attracts idealistic and creative staff.
CabinAir brings healthier air to drivers and passengers in order to achieve its vision of a world where high-performance air quality solutions are standard equipment in all vehicles. It does that by developing and manufacturing active air purification solutions for cars, trucks and other road vehicles as a Tier 1 supplier to the automotive industry.
This is an idea inspired by our origins in Sweden, where much of the landscape is covered with trees that help keep the air clean and fresh. Based in Stockholm we are now an international fast expanding team of passionate and committed employees with factory and R&D in Shenzhen and sales offices in Shanghai and Los Angeles.
Helen Du, our product manager for the Chinese aftermarket, for example, says, “I really care about the environment and joined CabinAir because I believe in the idea of ‘healthy air for the ride.’”
Mandy Li, HR Assistant located in Shenzhen shares Helen’s idealism. “I joined CabinAir simply because of its philosophy,” she says. “Many people live in an unpleasant environment because of the air problem. Joining CabinAir helps me to better understand the air environment and reduce air pollution in my life.”
Also looking to make a difference in the world is Justin Sevilla, who started his career as an engineer at age three, when he received his first “LEGO Technic set.” “From then on I was fascinated with how things work and building them,” he says.
“Before I joined CabinAir I already had significant experience with air cleaning technology. But when I heard about CabinAir’s vision of changing the world through clean air technology, I said to myself I want to join this company because I want to contribute and make a difference. And after two years with the company, true it was! This company made its promise to reality with the products we developed.”
Working for a path-breaking company dedicated to making the world’s best air quality systems for vehicles was part of the attraction for David Duan, Software engineer. “Blueair – where we origin from, is one of the most well-known air clean technology companies in the world,” he says. “CabinAir offers growth within the company, whether it be for middle management or higher level management opportunities. Working at CabinAir also provides employees with a sense positively impacting society via the application and technology on which they are working.”
David also appreciates working side-by-side with such a skilled and dedicated team. “CabinAir only looks for the best and brightest minds, and employees are always exposed to other amazing employees and intelligent thinkers,” he says.
Being a rapidly growing, entrepreneurial company also draws dynamic, innovative people who want to build something. “I like being in new built company with new blood,” says Cindy Wang, Sourcing & Supply Buyer. “CabinAir is new, so we are like a newborn bird,” she says. “We start to learn to fly, live and to be stronger and better. Since we’re not a big corporation, we’re tightly connected, so it’s easy to cooperate and team spirit is great.”
Kevin Xia, Project Leader adds: “Clean air is one of important requirements for a good driving experience, and CabinAir can offer fantastic technical solutions. I like being part of an entrepreneurial company and help it grow via my efforts and contributions.”
At CabinAir, we believe that relationships are everything. Whether you are a client, an end user or an employee, we apply the same values of thoughtfulness, integrity, and transparency that we value in other people to the way we work together.
That is part of CabinAir’s attraction for Emelie Safrani, a project manager on the PMO team who was one of the first employees to join the company. “My passion is creating and working with teams combining other people’s passion with agile, yet solid processes, and contribute to a healthy or environmentally good solution,” she says.
Eric Simonsson, who joined the company as the Global Finance Manager in May 2019, bring a background in team sports as well as finance to CabinAir. “I take great pleasure in building teams and cross functional teamwork,” he says.
The CabinAir team may be drawn together by shared goals, ambitions and values, but they come from far and wide, from over a dozen countries and such industries as white goods, fast moving consumer goods, cameras, lighting, medical technology and even from a company that makes stage machinery and other technology for theatre, stage, stunt and film.
Nearly all enjoy athletic pursuits whether solo or competitive. The team includes distance runners, kayakers, swimmers, skiers, mountain and rock climbers, hikers, and martial artists. We have people who sail, skip rope, go orienteering, play table tennis, basketball, hockey and badminton and catch Pokémons. More contemplative hobbies pursued by team members include yoga, painting, calligraphy, taking road trips and growing peppers. Achievements range from national awards in engineering to one-upping Indiana Jones by overcoming a fear of snakes in one day.
