Assembly lines rolling in Shenzhen!

I’m happy to say that the assembly lines are now officially rolling in Shenzhen. Mass production of our Active Air Quality solution started today for a premium automobile manufacturer. Our R&D as well as manufacturing facilities currently meet all certifications and standard requirements of OEMs, and we already hold ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 9001:2015 certifications.

With the first vehicles equipped with our solution reaching the Chinese market in a few months, we’re excited about the opportunity to improve air quality for drivers and passengers. It’s an important way to help people live healthier lives, since the air inside vehicles can be many times worse than the air outside. This is due primarily to the direct flow of exhaust from the vehicles ahead, tire and road wear products, VOCs from cleaning products and off-gassing of carpets and upholstery, and the relatively small volume of enclosed space inside the passenger compartment.

And with people are spending longer hours traveling to and from work and school, exposing themselves to nitrogen oxides, black carbon and ultrafine particulate matter, we think the time is right for our air quality solution to address the health impacts of these pollutants.

It is possible that our solution could also increase road safety, since, unlike most traditional systems, which need to recirculate the air in the car in order to reach acceptably low levels of particulates, our solution does not. This decreases the risk of elevated CO2 levels, which can cause drowsiness.
