Stockholm, 11 April, 2023 – CabinAir, a leading developer of advanced in-cabin air quality solution for vehicles, has been selected by one of the biggest electric vehicle makers in China to supply its systems. The partnership between the two companies aims to provide a cleaner and healthier in-cabin air quality experience for drivers and passengers.
"China is an important market for the automobile industry, and we are honored to be a supplier to a Chinese top EV manufacturer,” says Daniel Hagström, CabinAir CEO and co-founder. “With our technology, our customers can offer vehicles with better air purification performance to drivers and passengers."
The importance of good in-cabin air quality for EVs
The importance of good in-cabin air quality for EVs cannot be overstated. While electric vehicles are contributing to better air quality, non-exhaust emissions from brakes, tires, and road friction can still find their way into the cabin and accumulate quickly. CabinAir's solution is especially effective against ultrafine particles, including viruses and bacteria, and keeps in-cabin air quality within WHO guidelines for healthy air throughout the day.
CabinAir's Active Air Quality system constantly refreshes the cabin's air with clean air, which helps prevent the spread of viruses and bacteria, flush out VOCs, and prevent CO₂ build-up. Studies have shown that cleaner and fresher air can help reduce fatigue, improve alertness, and cognitive performance.
"More and more automotive companies are seeing healthy in-cabin air quality as a potential competitive edge," says Hagström. "And it is in our DNA as a Swedish company to care about air quality and offer a solution. We are looking forward to partnering with more Chinese OEMs to create cleaner and healthier in-cabin air and offer a more pleasant driving experience for their customers."
The partnership between CabinAir and the Chinese top EV manufacturer will result in healthier and safer driving experiences for the customers. With CabinAir's advanced air purification system, drivers and passengers can breathe easy.
CabinAir aims to improve the health, safety and wellbeing of drivers and passengers, by producing industry-leading in-cabin air purification solutions for cars, trucks, busses and other vehicles.
